Links are exactly what you think they are, they’re clickable objects in the main body text that take you to another page, a different point on the same page or to a completely different website.

Broadly there are two types of link:

• External links (that link to someone else’s website)

• Internal links (that link to some page or point within this website)

Internal links have two slightly different modes:

• Internal link to a point on a different page within the website

• Internal link to a point on the same page (with slow scrolling)
